make my Cereality reality please.

Next 2009 Conference is coming up this weekend!
I am SO excited. Always great to be around fellow brothers and sisters :]
Makes me feel all fuzzy and warm inside.
Might be going by myself to the Saturday session...
Maybe I'll make some new friends! Hopefully... I obviously need some.
If you are interested in going, it's not too late!

Was never really a bathing suit person, I love beaches and swimming but don't really enjoy bikinis and the showing skin part. But I absolutely love the whole pin up bathing suit style. It has moderate coverage and makes you look good whether you're a big or a small girl :]

Hoping to get this soon. Once I have the moolah. Most of these sell around $100 but this is only $65 from Retrodress. I say only because it's cheap compared to most places. Normally I would never pay this much for a swimsuit. NEVER. Not planning on buying another one after this. I will wear this until there are holes. Not like you'd notice anyway, right?

I cried watching this video. I hope it makes you cry too. Enjoy.

June 11th is our upcoming big show! It's a local band showcase, the venue is to be determined still but it's pretty much a battle of the bands and they will be choosing 2-3 bands to open up for Family Force 5!!!!! One of my favorite bands for sure... getting pumped! Details are in the band blog http://www.minormass.blogspot.com/

Records I finally bought... And you should too!

I was waiting for someone to bring this into Record & Tape Traders.
$8 YEAH!

♫ Sunny Day Real Estate • How It Feels To Be Something On

Saw these guys with Anthony Green last year.
Keith Goodwin's (Days Away) new band!
If you don't know Days Away, I feel sorry for your ears.
Do them a favor and go listen to them... NOW! And these guys too of course.

’Cause this is about life and life isn’t about death.

You've probably heard of this from the AT&T commercial!
TOMS Shoes was founded on a simple premise: For every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of shoes to a child in need. One for One. Using the purchasing power of individuals to benefit the greater good is what we're all about.

WHY SHOES?

Most children in developing countries grow up barefoot. Whether at play, doing chores or just getting around, these children are at risk.

Walking is often the primary mode of transportation in developing countries. Children can walk for miles to get food, water, shelter and medical help. Wearing shoes literally enables them to walk distances that aren't possible barefoot.

Wearing shoes prevents feet from getting cuts and sores on unsafe roads and from contaminated soil. Not only are these injuries painful, they also are dangerous when wounds become infected. The leading cause of disease in developing countries is soil-transmitted parasites which penetrate the skin through open sores. Wearing shoes can prevent this and the risk of amputation.

Many times children can't attend school barefoot because shoes are a required part of their uniform. If they don't have shoes, they don't go to school. If they don't receive an education, they don't have the opportunity to realize their potential.

There is one simple solution...SHOES.

Four of the planet's six billion people live in conditions inconceivable to many. Lets take a step towards a better tomorrow.

Thinkin about getting a pair of these sparkly silver suckers :]

Bought some more records these past couple of weeks... I think I'm always broke because I spend all of my money on music. Not that that's a bad thing ;]

I will try and make my next blogs about other topics that are more discussable and brain twisting hah!

♫ And Then There Were None • Who Speaks For Planet Earth? ♫
This band is under Tooth & Nail Records but not what you think they are.
I can't really stand the whole electro pop rock scene right now, but these guys remind me of  the old school classic techno so I have to like them. Surprisingly, they used to be a Metalcore band haha! They do a cover of "Right Here Waiting" by Richard Marx, major brownie points!

♫ As Cities Burn • Hell Or High Water ♫
Heard a lot about these guys in the past but never got the chance to listen to them until now. Wish I listened to them earlier!

♫ Meg & Dia • Here, Here and Here ♫
Been waiting for these chicks to come out with another record and it's finally here! This one has been on repeat since I've gotten it.
A lot more pop than the last, but still has their indie sound.
"Are There Giants Too, In The Dance?" is a great upbeat song and "Fighting For Nothing" is a nice slower song, love the emotion in this one. Dia used her voice really well in this record!

♫ The Reign Of Kindo• Rhythm, Chord & Melody ♫
The first time I listened to this record, I was in awe by the beautiful melodies.
I absolutely adore this record and have a lot of respect for these guys. They are formerly known as the band This Day & Age, which I just found out! They were one of my favorite bands a while back. Great to see them with a new sound, just as amazing.

♫ Relient K • The Bird and the Bee Sides ♫
They never seize to amaze me with their witty titles and songs.
